Welcome to Karate International of Durham, Inc. We have been offering instruction and training in the martial arts since 1980. Located in Durham, NC, Karate International has produced champions in life as well as in the martial arts.

Headed by Hanshi Jessie Bowen (9th Degree Black Belt) and a staff of expert instructors and managers, Karate International of Durham offers a number of programs for physical fitness and instruction in the martial arts.

Our system is a blend of martial arts styles creating the non-traditional American Karate System. Our style of karate is the art of Sanshikai-Aiki Karate. The heart of Sanshinkai-Aiki teaching is the belief that all great techniques contain a balance of mental, physical and spiritual forces.
